hopeless church

hopeless church

I received an e-mail that sent me to a thing I had seen back in 07 called a "palindrome" but it got me to thinking so I did sort of and adaptation that looks like this:
Hopeless Church

We are members of a hopeless church!
And I do not believe that
We can change our direction
I know this is challenging but
“True joy is in knowing the Lord”
IS A LIE, and
“Eat, drink, and be merry really makes one happy.”
So every chance I get I will tell Christians
They were wasting their time
The church will understand that
We will have our longings fulfilled because
Sin
Is more satisfying than
Holy living.
HEAR THIS!
Christian fellowships stay together
But this will not be true in our time
This is a “what’s in it for me” church
The world system tells us
For certain
There will be an entrenchment of humanism!
I do not believe that
We will have a great spiritual awakening!
In the coming days
A great ‘falling away’ is systemic!
It will no longer be reported that
Christians are burdened for the lost!
It will be obvious that
The church is weak and anemic!
It is ridiculous to believe that
There will be faith!

And all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it.

In case you don't know, when you reach the last line you then read the sentences from the bottom to the top for the countering message.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Chuck, for posting this! This could make a good illustration as we head toward Lent.
