Goodbye

Goodbye

Postby revmcw on Fri Jan 22, 2010 8:08 am

Hello folks,
I am not going to be renewing my membership to Desperate Preachers. I have really appreciated the platform and the work that has been put into it. I have also enjoyed, by and large, the conversations that have erupted from the different ideas offered by the members. I think that I most likely have until the end of the month on the site, so if any of you wish to continue a conversation, send me a PM with your hotmail address. I have already made some wonderful connections through this site, and that was an added, unexpected blessing.
Many Blessings to each of you as you continue your servant journey.

Goodness! I'm sorry to see you go, but you don't have to have a subscription to post on this discussion board. I don't subscribe every year, either.

I happen to subscribe the the whole site to have the benefit of all the lectionary resources, but you only need to register (for free) for the Discussion and Prayer boards ... so since you're already registered for those, access to those 2 boards can continue. If for some reason, you get blocked out after your other subscription runs out, you would only need to re-register to post on the 2 boards mentioned.

revmcw ... we need Canadians to keep, at least, some semblance of balance on this board!

What they said, and to add that the Lectionary discussion doesn't even require registering, much less subscribing.

Please stay. Goodness, I haven't given this site money in years. Just stay.

Golly you folks are sweet. I didn't know that you could use this part free/gratis (that's how we learn to read in English Canada ) I thought you had to pay up. I rarely use the resources any more (although they are wonderful) since one of you folk mentioned Working Preacher (their podcasts are a real jump start). I also use a couple of Australian sites from the the Uniting Church of Australia. At any rate, I'm in.
Talk to you later.
Q.
Does anyone know the grammatical purpose for the Mason-Dixon Line?
A.
It separates y'all from youse.

No way could a small townie from SW Ontario keep one of those wild eyed Quebecois in line--especially those from Montreal. ;)
